After 9 years of teaching workshops at national events, local needlework shops and private classes, writing this book has allowed me to pass on my knowledge and love of the technique to a wider audience.
My blackwork designs have been published in the British needlework magazines and are regularly on view at the needlework exhibitions throughout the UK.
I was introduced to the beauty of blackwork way back in my teens, when I saw a friend stitching a magnificent black and gold frog. I was hooked and there was no way back!
Blackwork is such a beautiful technique it would be a shame to let it disappear and my mission is to give everyone the opportunity to try it, without getting frustrated.
